YOMI OMOGBEJA

Yomi is the Editor-in-Chief of Athletics.Africa– Africa's first dedicated track and field website, which was set up in 2004.
He holds a Masters degree in Web Journalism from the University of Sheffield (2004), passed with Merit the NCTJ UK Law for Journalists examination and certification in 2005, and on course this year to earn an Executive Masters in Olympic Studies from the German Sport University in Cologne.

Yomi was awarded the Highway Africa innovation award for journalism in 2011, and was also a finalist at the 2004 Press Gazette UK Student Online Journalist of the Year awards in both the individual and team categories.

With over 18 years experience as a multimedia journalist covering Energy, Business, and Sports, Yomi has provided reports from the African Nations Cup 2000 in Ghana/Nigeria; the IAAF World Cross Country championships Edinburgh 2008; IAAF World Indoor Championships Doha 2010, Sopot 2014, and Birmingham 2018; Olympic Games London 2012 and Rio 2016; and IAAF World Championships Moscow 2013, Beijing 2015, and London 2017 to mention a few.

Yomi is the pioneer West African Correspondent for Oil and Gas International Inc, based in Houston, Texas, and the pioneer Online and Planning Editor of the defunct NEXT Newspapers / 234Next.com.
